What is a Deep Generalist - And why should YOU become one?

As a child people use to call me names. One of them was the "stary malutki" which loosely translates into "an old soul" - "a tiny ancient" but in a derogatory way. I loved talking to much older people than me, and still do. I was a weird kid that had a hard time socializing. Before the internet, I would deep dive into the most obscure books- ideally with images, develop an obsession and try to live my life according to these new found principles like a brainwashed naïve kid. Bruce Lee, Leonardo DaVinci and Nikoa Tesla were my favorite. Friends tried to reform me, but I wouldn't conform. Later, I tried to stay at one job, focus on one thing at a time. But I was way too passionate about how the world really works. It took a few decades, to realize that instead of strengthening my weaknesses, I should leverage them, and I have made a pretty good living out of being a deep generalist.
